Anand Institute of Management and Information Science, run and managed by Shri Ramkrishna Seva Mandal, has roots in Anand Institute of Management and Anand Institute of Information Science. Anand Institute of Information Science , running MCA programme was established in 2001 while Anand Institute of Management, running MBA Programme, was set up in 2004. Initially, both the institutes were affiliated to Sardar Patel University. Later in 2009, both the institutes got affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), a university established by Government of Gujarat.

In the Year 2021, both these institutes were merged in to a single entity i.e. Anand Institute of Management and Information Science. Since MBA and MCA, both are technical programmes and offer the opportunities for cross functional expertise in the field of management and information technology, the merger is in the interest of all the stakeholders of both the institutes. The institute will achieve newer heights in the times to come by leveraging the best teaching-learning practices and creating the culture of education, innovation and research.
